The recent news of Celadon shutting down has filled our news feeds with gut-wrenching stories of truckers left shocked, stranded and confused. It’s an appalling situation stemming from some of the worst aspects of human nature. In the aftermath, it is tempting to become cynical and to begin to expect the worst from those around us.

However, such times bring to mind a quote from Fred Rogers:

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”

Right now, in our industry, you don’t need to look very hard to find the helpers. They are everywhere. Numerous organizations have leaped into action to provide everything from legal advice and moral support to job offers and transportation assistance for stranded truckers.

It has been nothing short of inspiring to watch the industry-wide response to this crisis. We’d like to help by drawing attention to some of the incredible resources being provided by so many. You can help as well by sharing this with your networks and adding any additional resources in the comments section below.
